This is our second full length cd
and we think you're gonna like it. We went to Brooklyn, leased and
built our own studio, and wrote and recorded the material that
comprises the album in one fell swoop! We like focusing on songwriting
and arrangements which can be performed live, with a few electric
guitars and some nice harmonies. The resulting Off Our Shoulders is a rock record filled with catchy power-pop melodies, harmonies, driving guitars and a powerful back beat. The songs were developed out of simple stories. "All of Who I Am" sounds like a love song to a girl, but really about a Martin Guitar. "Sun Goes Down" was inspired by the famous Howard Cossell line "down goes Frazier" and was written as a radio broadcast of a boxing match. "Happy Everything" came from a holiday card and its overly perky sentiment conjured a cynic's perspective on the holiday season.
The tracklisting is below and we will be celebrating the
release April 10th at the Crash Mansion (NYC) with a big album release

Thanks for stopping by the new PorterBlockMusic.com. Thanks to SchramDesign.com for the new digs.
Well we've finally given birth to our new bouncing jangle ridden cd after prior attempts proved unsatisfactory. Caleb and I really got down to the basics of the songs and served them well with stripped down acoustic almost bluegrass type arrangements....compete with dobro and mandolin...we hope everyone likes the record and will buy it or download it immediately! Come check out our live show as we spread the word around!!
